Linking web page "likes" with a Facebook page for that site?

So, I have a website that has accumulated a fair number of Facebook likes over last couple years. Just recently, I set up Facebook page for that site. But the likes for the site itself don't transfer over to the Facebook page. Any way to get them to link up?

 

You need to create a Facebook Application instead of a page.

Short answer, you cannot transfer the likes from one to another.
