    It would be a big hit. We could post complete case study and history of the banned member on the blog. Maybe an interview with banned members as well. :p

    Sorry to reopen this thread -- but seriously, sometimes I read threads and see a banned member. Their sig is gone, and they don't seem to obnoxious *in that particular thread*. It's hard to find out when the account was banned and what they did to get banned. These would be useful to know in order to understand the member's "hidden agenda"... and there's also the curiosity factor!

    So, my proposal would be to add an explanation / link in the banned member's profile upon expelling them, if that isn't too much of a privacy concern...

    This has been proposed previously and voted down. Since many have multiple different infractions it would be hard to come up with a reason for banning most anyway.
