Do you have some experience with linking to banned domain or something bad in google eyes, what are consequences ?

But tell please some facts if you know not some guessing.

Linking to a banned domain is much worse than having a banned domain link to you. Look carefully at every single site you link to before you place the link.

You could end up with the same reputation - guilty by association.

Linking to one or two unrelated banned domains (hijacked domain names, etc.) usually is not enough to get penalized, but linking to banned domains where the linking appears to be willfull or intentional could get you dropped from the index.

    How would that be determined?

Whether its willful or intentional is a bit subjective. IMO the more banned domains you link to the worse your site will look.

One or two isn't going to make a hige difference, but it is possible to pick up a penalty or in the worst cases get a bad yourself. It's best to check each outgoing link well.

I'm not linking to some bad domain, banned or something else,
but I was interesting what will happen if I accidentally link to some.

I knew that I can get penalized, but I thought that maybe you know more ...

Because you have control over who you link to, you can get penalized or even banned yourself for linking to banned sites. Your telling the search engines that you are "voting" for a site that they banned.

I wouldn't worry about linking to one or two unrelated domains that may have a penalty or recently picked up a penalty.

Look at who the site is currently linking out to before agreeing to link to them. Avoid sites whose links pages are just an uncategorized collection of links to anything and everything.

How do you determine is a domain is banned in the first place? Plus, I believe domains are banned only for a certain amount of time, yes? If so how do you determine when?

It won't be cached in the Google index and it's PR bar will be grey.

Newer versions of Google toolbar no longer display a grey bar.
