Hello, What is allowed when it comes to linking to Amazon products? More specifically... Can your site have images of the products and have them link directly to Amazon. Or is it a requirement to have the Amazon "Buy from Amazon" logo? Basically I want to build a few landing pages that look like a flyer with pre-selected cool products. And I am unsure as to what is required to state on that same page from legal stand point.
You can link almost any product from Amazon.com on your website. There are no known requirements. Just don't modify the code generated by Amazon.com. Here are various ways you can link products to Amazon.com
Ok I guess I didn't explain it well - it would be using the API to generate the links. But can you use the generated links from the API on the product images to go directly to Amazon. I definitely don't want the amazon logo on each item
As suggested above, you are free to use the generated links to point to Amazon website, as long as it does not mislead users. As for the images, you can hot-link from any site you like. There's no requirement to use images from Amazon site only. So, if you don't want Amazon images, use the one that suits you.
Hey, I'm doing it. Like, I have a picture of an iPhone that I took, and if someone clicks on it, they go to Amazon. It's okay!
You are free to link images or whatever as long as it requires a click by the visitor to come to Amazon from your site, so any (timed) automatic redirects, domain parking, etc. is not allowed. Additionally you should state that you are an affiliate and may earn comissions on sales originating from your site in your disclaimer/about/footer/sidebar, the text needed can be found in the TOS. In contrast to what salesonamazon says Adwords IS ALLOWED as long as you send visitors to YOUR SITE or landingpage advertising the Amazon product and NOT DIRECTLY to Amazon. Only direct linking was prohibited with the new terms, if visitors come from Adwords, actively click on your site and then go to Amazon, it's all fine.
