I've heard on another forum that direct linking from Youtube is not allowed by Amazon's TOS. Is this correct? I made a redirect from my domain to Amazon like how ezinearticles allows. But I've read Amazon's compliance that you need to state on your website that you're an affiliate and you're getting paid: You must, however, clearly state the following on your site: “[Insert your name] is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to [insert the applicable site name (amazon.com, endless.com, amazonsupply.com, or myhabit.com)].†I guess I could put it in the description, video or make a page and send them to my website, but did you guys hear of anyone getting terminated for linking to Amazon directly from YouTube? Thanks
Those links aren't allowed and don't convert. Instead link to your product review site from YouTube. Also, you're referring to the affiliate disclosure laws set by the federal government in the US. You can get away without it until you're successful enough for Amazon to notice you and then you'll be swiftly banned.
You're right, but Youtube/Google will probably terminate your account long before Amazon does, I've had 2 closed already Thanks
It's not worth trying to link directly to Amazon from YouTube. Definitely set up a review site and drive your traffic from there.
STOP and listen. I just saw some knob head say those links dont convert. Oh they convert alright. Let me tell you.. I took this approach last week. I made 316 videos that were about 30 seconds each. I listed one item on sale per video and explained how the sle could be accessed through the link in the description.. i didnt have one day without sales once I started.. I was seeing $15 and $18 a day. However.. Youtube deleted my entire account with 316 videos without warning or explanation. It still paid off, I made over $100 for 3 hours of video recordings.. but it would of paid off so much better if they could of sat on youtube until I was dead. Anyone know a work around?
