I know ever one has there idea of what works and whats does not and i dont think i am a expert in seo whats so ever but i do belive these steps are allways a good way to help build backlinks. 1- find the sites that rate your web site and tell you what it worth and plug your site as some of these sites keep your link there for quite a while and will be picked up by the search engines- as i have found in my logs a peeps come from these sort of sites eg-http://www.mywebsiteworth.com/ -- for the search term of --what my site worth About 246,000,000 results go and submit your site to as many as you can max 50 a day is prob be the best, 2- blogs edu type are the best as gov is as well and org but as these are hard to get listed on related blogs are good as long as you place good feadback on the blog you will get a link back- use blogger sites as well 3- press release sites yes some you do have to pay but search and you will find some are free 4-artical site like www.getaconnect.com are allways quite good to get backlinks www.digg.com 5-now cross linking you own web sites is allways good better if on dif ips but good for spreading your pr rank 6-find related web sites and drop the admin a mail asking if thay want to swap links most will say no if you are lower pr then you but worth a try. 7-search engines do submit or not good question yes i would say but dont do it very often or join google program http://www.google.co.uk/services/ and thay can help here or get the free program from webseo 8-A lot of peeps forget about the outside world for web sites- like local news papers leaflets shop boards 9-forums- your link can be used in your sig -but dont spam as most will just ban your ass 10-now facebook if all the users was a country this be the 4 bigest in the world yes true- facebook ads twitter friends-hood myspace yourtube and thelike allways good to use 11- ebay- flippa- and any other sites like this- HOW you ask well place somethink for sale on ebay with you link may be a ebook as long as you have resellrights sell for 99 p and sell 1000 use your sites keywords and info- flippa well here place alisting for your site and out class it like friedegg does so no one will ever buy it as your site may not be worth 5mill and as it wont sell you get the next listing half price this ma chnage as fried eggs has done this now 3 or more times but gets the site talked about and links about it 12-click bank sell your own ebook about your site for say 20 and let overs sell it and they keep 80% as this more for getting your link to peeps -Has to be a good ebook 13- the main key is intract with vistors make them come back give them what thay are after may be a exit program or live chat can be run from a phone as well now www.zelune.com has some of these scripts may be help full to you One think i think is forgoten by most is the server errors pages lost traffic and lost money- as if you ever go to a site that has changed there page your know what i mean.- SOON A FREE site comeing for error templates be live in about 5 days I not built the site as of yet but will do somethink very soon so sum this up • Start with a web promotion plan and an effective web design and development strategy. • Get ranked at the top in major search engines, and practice good Search Optimization Techniques. • Learn to use Email Marketing Effectively. • Dominate your marketing niche with affiliate, reseller, and associate programs. • Request an analysis from an Internet marketing coach or Internet marketing consultant. • Build a responsive opt-in email list. • Publish articles or get listed in news stories. • Write and publish online press releases. • Facilitate and run contests and giveaways via your web site. • Blog and interact with your visitors.
