Hi,I have made an all flash music website for my band, which is complete, except none of the download links work!.
I tried to select the text and add a url for the download of mp3s and also the wallpaper,no luck.

you can see my site here and if you have a clue what I did wrong, thanks so much.the trouble is under the "download page".

No-one will be able to help you here. There is no code to change (well, you could add a Doctype and try the Flash Satay version of embed, but that's extra and has nothing to do with your buttons).

Since you insist on making the entire page in Flash, your solution is in the .fla file. That's where all your buttons, commands, etc are.

You could try posting the .fla file somewhere and linking to it, and maybe someone else with Flash Programme can look at it and give you suggestions. You should look for an Actionscript forum specifically, since that's what all your buttons are written with (Flash's version of Javascript, basically).

All anyone visiting your site has access to is the .swf (playback version). If that's what you were trying to highlight text in, then you've seen the frustration visitors can run into with Flash sites. Flash can make a site really beautiful (and I like how you've got the little fire rings that show up on the buttons), but keep in mind that you're only allowing those with Flash Player to see your site. It's a good idea to have something underneath the Flash-- an actual, navigatable site. Sure, they won't get the full experience and won't be able to see or hear everything, but if someone's a fan of the band, they may still want to download mp3's, read lyrics and band history, discograhpy, tour dates, or contact you. Even if it's just plain ugly-ass text, covered up with Flash, it's better than Flash alone.

As a crusty guy here once said, "There's a reason it's called Flash and not Substance."
