I have two sites StuffAccess.co.uk StuffAccess.com They have similar content except one is for the uk and one for the us. If I link them will google reward or penalize me.
That depends on if they are on the same hosting and IP block AND under the same whoisit names. But really if they have too "similar" of content that will get you worse rankings for duplicate content penalty. HTH cheri : )
well have you had a look at them? They have similar content since they are online stores. so similar products. They are under the same hosting company.
This really only works if they are different languages, you should just redirect one to another. One will get weight and mature on search engines and the other will be considered spam or duplicate content. You may also get flagged for interlinking sites and attempting to manipluate SERPs, hey it happens.
Linking them together is no problems, but you should really make them more unique by altering product descriptions etc on one site.
They have different currencies for each product. Also some of the descriptions are different. I've also added some extra products to one of the sites. Will that do?
We have over 1000 sites on the same C class IP and google picks and chooses what sites it wants to list in the "links:www" All sites link to one main domain on the same IP and each other domain links to about 10 others on the server because they are related sites. Our sites get plenty of traffic and have good solid reasons for exisiting. If you were a web designer and created 10 sites for your customers and put a link at the bottom saying "web design company" and the web design site has a review of the work they have done. Thats a good enough reason for legitimate linking and is a good example of millions of sites on the internet. Google will not penalize you. Some hosting companies have thouands of sites on one IP and there is a small chance that a reciprocal link could be made with either webmaster knowing they are with the same hosting company. I heard someone say a long time back that about 5 sites on one IP linking to each other was googles flag point. You may just not receive the full benefit of the link.
Wow man, they are too similar man. The only difference is the currency, but everything else it's the same
Yr site business is same but for Different country wise so chances is less for penalize. bt u wont get any KW ranking or any outbound links or any other referral to yr site. Google wont consider to yr site as duplicate content problem.
They might penalized you from duplicate content. If they have the same content try to create new content for the other site.
