You are speculating,
if that was the case then everyone would be doing just this for their competitors
and it would not a be a fair game so google would not adopt such measure of ranking ...

 

What is your strategy on high-quality vs low-quality links? do you follow 80/20 rule?????????

 

Getting links from them has no effect. However, giving them links is a bad idea.

I guess we're really all just speculating here because no one really knows what Google does most of the time. It may be just a coincidence, or somebody in the company just spammed and would not own up to it but it did happen or that's what the company is telling its employees anyway. I guess we just need to be a bit cautious.

 

If you are talking about getting quality backlink for SEO purpose, start the effective offpage work which will create the backlinks for your website.

 

I agree with those, especially #5. I commonly see people not linking out to relevant sites and it holds them back. Although seo is all about the combination of things you do, every little bit helps.

 

thank you for sharing this. its true creating back links from low quality site is on use. always give back links from High PR sites and be careful while giving links.

 

Somehow, i think i have done this mistake too, l just delete a spammy website that i linked and ask the webmaster to delete my link too. Great infos!

There is no point in this. If I am to take down a site, I would link them to pornsites.
