Linking, Marketing, page rankings

    Hello,
    Been reading and searching some and I have a question or two.

    On backlinks: I went to yahoo siteexplorer and It shows 11216 inlinks. Are those back links? Does not sound like it. Most of the link listed are from my site with a smattering of others sites mixed in.

    On site\page rankings: How do I find what the site is ranked at, and how do I or what should I do to improve it? I've read a post or two about local marketing, working on business relations, and those are pretty good ideas seems like.

    try subtracting Pages from Inlinks to get a better indication
