I just opened an account with CJ. I'am trying to get my first link on my blog. I want my customers to click on a word within my blog and go to a specific page within the advertisers site. The problem is for this adv. the only link I see is 'get HTML" this link has images and text. Don't want this . Under destination is said customer allows URL redirects for this link. I think this has something to do with solving my problem but not sure how. Please help.
The image associated with the link is for tracking impressions. In your CJ control panel, there are impressions, clicks and sales. Impressions are when that image is served to the visitor while clicks are when someone actually clicks on the link. Just grab the <a href> portion and don't worry about the rest. This is similar if you were direct linking to the offer through PPC. You won't see any impressions in your CJ stats because you removed that portion of the tracking so all you will see are the clicks.
In the code that you get copy <a href="....."></a> and put the text you want on your site just before the </a>.
Is this allowed in CJ? I mean will this not break the policy? As to what i have known that these affiliates do not allow you to alter the codes.. Please send more replies to this query... Also..Like in adsense there is a publisher id which is in the code that you need to paste on your website. NOw if you we will alter the code in adsense then the id will not go with code. SO how the CJ system works? The same as adsense tracking through any id or what
It's fine. I do it all the time. You need to do it if you want a text link because there isn't always an option for one. With adsense the impressions are important for working out earnings, but not with CJ CPA or REV share.
