Linking ICICI bank debit card to Paypal

As per reserve bank of india instruction , indian debit card cant work directly like credit cards. in some cases it go thru vbv or ms secure way.

Yea, it doesn't let any indian debit cards yet, as per RBI rules have changed so did paypal users are in deep trouble now after march 1st 2011, Indian govt is making indian life miserable!

This is frustrating. I even get new bank account to get International debit card. It seems that RBI making policies to get money from other counties but doesn't want to give them. Seems that some policies makers are fools. They didn't realize how much business and Money they loosing. You know, No Payment-->No bussiness-->No earing--Nothing will come in India.

I wish some how they see this reply or someone tell them .

 

I have PNB atm&shopping card with mastercard logo but it is not accepted by paypal.

let me know is there any service to activate for this like netbanking or something else?

i have heard that netsafe cards from HDFC are accepted by paypal.....got an account today,will try and let you know if it works

In India RBI have restricted to connect the Paypal account to bank account only through credit card If you want to get paid and want pay some one. So any credit/debit can't be accepted.

If you want to only get payment by other then it can be work as my account working. In this way you can't payment to other, Only you can get paid by other. Means one way only. Money can come to you only and your bank account only. You can't pay any one.

For this you have check the purpose code as "R&D". and insert your back account not. NO need to your credit/ debit card.

I was suffer as you are suffering for a long time but at the end one of my friends helped to do this.

You can use your debit card for withdrawing money from paypal. But for verifying please do use Credit card of any Indian bank.

I have atm&shopping card(PNb) with mastercard symbol,but its not working

 

You can pay some one through paypal only if you are using credit card. Otherwise you can only get paid but can't pay some other.

No, if you only want to take payment from other As I am doing then it will work. But If you want to give payment then It will not acceptable.

I have opened a paypal account with citi Bnak they asked me about few proofs while i opened another account with HDFC bank it was a smooth transition

Any experience with the above banks ?

 

Hello guys.Wat u guys need to do is, register for a 3D secure PIN for your International Debit Card(ICICI) and then try to link in paypal.It works like a charm..This 3D Secure PIN is used to carry out online transactions.Hope it was helpful..

 

There would be always problem while connecting Debit Card to PayPal. Better try to connect credit card/bank account directly. You can do it with same ICICI bank account I think. So, please try it. It will help.
