Linking and PR experiment

    Aloha,

What do you all think about the results of this experiment?
    http://www.marketingsyndrome.com/not-all-sub-domains-are-equal/

According to the result, everything I have learned about getting my sites in directories is worth nothing. Instead, I should get myself a site with a high PR and link from there.

But what will people without a high PR site do? Should they add their site to Google using the 'Add Url' page?

    Thanks, Mads

    Inconclusive!

Wherever you get your inbound links, when your site first gets indexed depends on when the site linking to yours gets indexed. If the sites linking to yours don't get indexed, your site doesn't get indexed.

The homepage of a site of mine that I recently published got indexed in a matter of days and all I'd got was about 20 inbound links from directories (nothing with high PR).

If you have any random decent website, you can get someone to link to you, and you will get indexed.
Frankly I think getting indexed is the least important part of all SEO.
