linking a wordpress blog to wordpress

    I used to have a wordpress.com subdomain blog, but I moved to a self hosted wordpress installation. However, I noticed that I used to get more traffic on wordpress.com blog than on my own hosted domain, since my blog was getting traffic from wordpress.com (the main site). Is there a way that I can link my current blog to wordpress.com to increase my traffic?

    I would use 301 permanent redirects.
