Hi Thanks for your reply I am finding it a bit difficult, for instance I can't find.

    1. Select Map View from the View pop-up menu in the Files panel. (is this talking about the view button at the top of the page next to insert? as I can't find the map view option
    2. To show dependent files, select View from the Options menu at the top right corner of the Files panel; then select Site Map Options > Show Dependent Files.
Same problem there is a view button, but it's next to insert on the left at the top of the screen?

I am using CS4 not 3 if this is the problem.

There must be an easier way to just insert a flash anim then link it to a html page ect?

    help much appreciated
    cheers
    Mark

When I click on the flash anim in dreamweaver (properties menu) there is no link option
Help please, as I would really like to know how to do this.

    Thanks

FInally figured it out yay!, became more familur with flash along the way, to link a swf. anim to a page in your site using dreamweaver. (it has to be done in the flash program itself)

using flash step one insert new symbol
Choose button in the options and give it a name like button1
Now (you should see a symbol window with which it says up hit ect. symbol window)

    import your flash .swf,

Next click on scene (next to button1 on the timeline)

okay now your in scene view you go to window and choose options library (to open your library)

scroll down to find your button1 symbol now drag it into the scene view.

Now simply righ click on the button in the scene view choose actions double click get url choose your html destination

close the actions box save export as movie swf. and now you have your button with link that you can simply import into dreamweaver

and you have your swf. flash button cheers

    :)

Hi I have run into another problem, I have now worked out how to link a flash anim to a page.
But I want the animation to just be in the up mode? not on hit ect. When I create symbol then import the swf the keyframes of the animation spread across hit up ect?

How do I just put animations in just the up, or hit section (animations that I import?)

    help appreciated thanks.

I'ts okay I am doing it like lighting now (wow wat a learning curve with flash :() but got there in the end yay

    Okay steps are open flash

file import - I'mport your flash swf anim.
then when its imported you see on the time line all the frames for the anim (black circles)
click on the first frame then right click and choose select all,
then right click again and choose copy frames.

now go up to the top and choose insert - new symbol - choose movie option (give it a name ect. moonmovie)

now your in moon movie screen go up to the time line click on the first box right click and choose copy frames.

now you go up to the top again and choose insert - new symbol - choose button in the options (call it moonbutton)

Okay now your in the button view mode where you see UP ect.

click on box under the up.

then go up to the top choose insert - keyframe

now go up to window - and choose libraray.

and scroll down to you see "moonmovie"

Then drag this onto the stage, (still in moon button stage)

you can go up to the top choose control test movie , it should play fine.

close the sub window (.ie) back to moonbutton stage.

now go up to top left choose file new

you are in new scene stage.

click on the first box in timeline then go up to to and choose insert - keyframe.

now go up to window libraray to open the libraray again.

    scroll down to find moonbutton

    drag this onto the stage.

Now right click the button choose actions

    get url

    in the options choose http://www.google.com

go up to control - test movie

your movie should be playing also if you click on it should go to google.

close the sub window . i.e back to stage view

    click on the button

go to file export flash movie

    done :)

Hope I help with anyone trying to work this out. Still say there should be an option in dreamweaver to do it.

    cheers

now go up to window libraray , when the library opens
