There must be someone here who could answer me I have a website, a dutch website. Would it be good for my ranking to get backlinks from other sites that aren't dutch? It goes for other sites in the same niche just just the content is a other language. So the words are totally different on cause its a other language and Google probably wont find any relation between it? So my question; Would it be good to exchange links with english websites for a dutch website in the same niche? And add to english directory's?
Well, as far as my personal experience in concerned then I think You should get back links from Dutch webs.
In my opinion, you should stick to have dutch backlinks. but to have more traffic you can link with english websites as well...
I dont see any difference in backlinks from other language. After all, some visitors use Google Translate. However, it is better to have links from the same niche.
Dutch backlinks will help your rankings when people search from within Holland. Links from any other countries will help your rankings when people from that country search. Well that's how it is with Google at least.
You want your content to be relevant, so get links that are on other dutch websites. They want to see that your connected to other websites like yours, and not just getting links for links sake.
The answer to your question really depends. Who is your target audience? Are you only going after the Dutch market, or other markets as well? This is the defining key to your linking strategy. If you intend to focus only on the Dutch market, then build only Dutch links. This gives Google greater ability to relate your site to the Dutch market. Adding links from other-language sites will only "water down" your ranking in Dutch SE results. Additionally, it could seem more spammy. However, if your focus is on other markets, then by all means proceed by obtaining non-Dutch links. But understand this needs to be done with care. For instance, target only one additional language at a time. If you want to target German speakers, add only German (plus, additional Dutch) links over a given period of time. Then, phase in another language you're targeting, like English...and on and on. The point is to try not to look spammy, while also not watering down your ranking.
Getting links from English websites won't harm your site but it will still be better if you'll focus on getting links from dutch websites.
yes, dutch website will be very good to get backlinks, but US website will not harm your website specially if you have the same niche.
I think you should concentrate on sites which are related to dutch first. Then, slowly do normal link building on every site. You will eventually gain serp on every search engines.
Dutch IP and TLD and relevant topic is best. But US site with good parameters might be just as well. It all depends...
Ithink it would not be a good practice if you take links on english websites. I suggest you should take links from the Dutch websites.
