Linkbuilding after Panda 3.3

    some of my client's sites have lost rankings on particular TOPICAL keywords but gained on others
    I can't comment on linking domains or links devalued but on either of them there was no recent
    link building done, they are both quality sites (real business) with unique content but with no
    continue fresh content (like blogs) ... just posting to see if anyone has any comment on this

    Google has always appreciated quality links and will continue the same. i don't think that quality back links will loose their value.

    I guess it depends on how topical they are. There was a comment in the update about improvements to freshness, which said:
    "We’ve applied new signals which help us surface fresh content in our results even more quickly than before.", and another about spiking topics, which begins:
    "We use a number of signals to detect when a new topic is spiking in popularity".
    If the keywords are very topical and if other sites are posting fresh content about the subject and your clients are not, then it could be that those sites are benefiting at your client's expense.

    I agree with those who are saying that backlinks aren't going anywhere......we need to keep this into mind that Internet is still at roots network of networks so links are here to stay as Google will still need them but from what I understand from their blog is that they want us to look into other link building sources as well rather than rely on just a few sources which have been going on for years (blog commenting, articles & profile links) and ofcourse get our links from places which regularly produces high-quality content.
