I have some highly relevant good quality articles. I'm considering posting them on my site for the following reasons: It's relevant to the subject matter on my site and a good read My hope is that relevant sites will link to my site/article I know some do not like the term linkbaiting as it implies something negative. I'm using it to mean the above. The other option to achieve my second goal is to submit to article directories. This would of course create backlinks, but I'm not sure they would be as relevant as the backlinks above. So, my question is, which is a better method for generating more desirable backlinks? In general, if you had a good number of quality articles, would you submit to directories or use them on your site.
Use them on your site! This puts YOU in the SERPSs, not the article repository. Though, take the time and re-work your article, and submit those (that way you are killing two birds). In all cases, put your best work on your own site. Q
Always put the best stuff on your own site mate, the point of article sites is to feed your own site.
I always submit my articles to my blog first, which is hosted on my site. This makes updating my site with unique content quite simple. After I ping my blog, I then modify my articles for article submission to avoid any duplicate content penalties. This way I get the best of both worlds.
