Hello everybody, I am planning to launch a new 'SEO Services' site in a few days and am currently getting a Press Release written for it. I need help on linkbait ideas from you to put in this PR. What do you think will work: Free SEO Reports SEO now/pay later Free SEO Services Prizes/Rewards I am grateful for your suggestions/help. Thanks
First 1000 customers get 20% off? Oh and don't forget to put in the lovely "Satisfaction guaranteed". But then don't forget to put "satisfaction isn't guaranteed" in small print under that Or here is an idea. Make a coupon code and put it in the press release for like 10% off or whatever. Everyone LOVES coupons.
I think that the best way to market your site is at least one new/novel idea. I have read so many SEO sites now that provide pretty much the same information, most of which can be derived from Google's own Webmaster site. As a potential customer, I am looking for someone who has good, incisive ideas on how to create permanent value in a website. Not someone, who knows how to spend my money for transitory value - i.e. value that quickly dissipates because of gray or black hat "tricks". Differentiation and value are the key to growth. Good luck with your site! Rich
err.. linkbait. try free website designs (including coded designs, wordpress themes) they're usually good for linkbait.
A free survey that can easily be filled out in 5 minutes that tells you "How much of a SEO are you?". Only ask some basic questions and give them a percentage like: "64% - You SEO more than my Grandmother but her knitting website is still more popular than any of yours" Then offer some data on how some more advanced SEO techniques you use (don't name them) can benefit a lot more than the basic techniques. After all, who here would not want to do that survey for a bit of fun?
Here is a small idea Do free seo service for someone and get the reports and the testimonials using that create report or case study with all the proof. Circulate it free . I hope this helps
If someone will do this correctly, would have a very nice viral effect. That someone could be swamped with orders .
Your best link bait would depend on a few factors like: 1) Budget b) Target audience C - Your company's size If you have deep pockets, sue one of the big search engines. That will instantly pump your number of back links. If your target market is geographically localized, do a high profile event locally that will get news coverage. If you have a big enough staff, you can set them to work creating a buz for you through blogs and forums. Lacking any of those its time to be creative. You could try to make a series of funny videos (something like the SEO Grandma or stupid SEO Tricks). Or, create a tool that plays to people's vanity [Admit it. If you've never googled yourself, you've at least checked for back links, viewed an aerial map of your house, or other some such self-focusing activity ] Free services are good, and testimonials create great amounts of trust, but they don't garner that many links (especially after the free service offer has expired). The best answer to your question will ultimately come from you and your co-woorkers/employees. Go out after work, have a few beers (or some other similar social lubricant...you need people comfortable with the notion of blurting out crazy ideas) and brainstorm. Don't reject any ideas during the brainstorming session, and write all of them down (or record it). Tomorrow, sit down and evaluate.
Been done 1000000000000 Times You need REAL link Bait My friend, Contact me privately and I will give you some ideas. Posting them publicly would defeat the whole purpose
No it won't. You should never have testimonials in a press release. You should also never have things like guarantees in your press releases - quickest way to get a release banned from distribution sites altogether is to make it look even remotely like an advertisement for your company. It has to be news. And even if you were to squeak by a lazy editor and get it published, no one would take it seriously, and your release would be scrapped by anyone that would actually be worth getting a mention from.
