LinkBag.com - Social bookmarking site for sale

    LinkBag.com

Site was created several months ago as another take on social bookmarking. The point was to create "bags" of links you could share with friends easily. Each bag is viewable to the public and displays an Adsense ad along with the rest of the links (this doesn't display when you are logged in).

Visit the site and create an account to see how it works. There is also a URL shortening service built in right on the front page (no account required).

There is not much traffic coming in due to my not really advertising it. I built the app from scratch, but just don't have time to dedicate to it.

There are less than 10 users and a little over 250 links in the database. The site is PHP/MySQL. The site pretty much runs itself. There is no revenue to speak of (pennies, due to no marketing).

Looking to end the auction in 24 hours. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Starting bid: $10
    Increment: $10
    No BIN in mind.

I had an issue with the captcha not displaying properly when trying to create a new account (just now). I've fixed it and it is displaying properly now.

I would prefer Paypal (no eChecks).

The price includes my assistance in transferring the site (and domain) from my server to yours and making sure everything works.

I appreciate all the questions I'm receiving via PM. Just want to answer a couple of them that are being asked a lot:

    1. What price will end this auction right now?

I suppose that's the same as a BIN. I've not set a BIN and I'm not honestly sure what I'm looking for. I'm only selling this because I need to drop some of my side websites because I flat out don't have time to support and market them all. I think this site has a lot of potential due to the short and unique domain name and the bookmarking concept of sharing whole groupings of links easily (instead of just tagging everything to oblivion). There are lots of directions this site can take under the right vision. Under different circumstances, I would never let this site go. But for the right price, I will because I just can't spend any time on it.

    2. What script runs this site? Is the script alone for sale?

The site doesn't run a script I purchased somewhere. The entire thing is custom developed from scratch by myself. The pretty URLs you see are done through a customized htaccess file (again, by me). I have not sold the code that powers the site to anyone and don't intend to (mostly because I doubt it would sell for more than the complete site, and it would lessen the quality of LinkBag.com if it had exact clones running around).

Sorry about that, and I understand the iTrader issue with me. If I get any more PM bids, I'll ask that they post it in the forum for all to see. Thanks.

    Thanks
