    Dear Dp users...

I am working on a website and I would like to understand how Google treats titles in a page.

Lets say that each page has a title. for example: "Linkable titles" is the title of the page. Before the main content of this page I see a H1 that says: "linkable titles".

How Google will response if I will make it linkable to the same page?

is it going to heart me ?

Thanks in advance for any help...

    Guy.

Why do you want to link them? It will treat them same as regular h1, no difference!

I think it won't affect your site in any way.

I don't think it would be helpful to have linkable title in terms of SEO.

I can see the SEO logic behind it but I think you will find the gains would be marginal if the link to a page is from the same page, and I don't know how Google would interpret the optimization, it's a bit spammy really, and if the tactic became commonly adopted I think you will find would penalize such practices, because it's not exactly "natural" and it is definitely unnecessary.
