Why does this not work when you want to see your in links in google. I only have one showing up in google but 115 in yahoo. I have checked sites that have been around for a long time and don't show very many either when I know they have thousands. Can someone explain this to me
Hi The link: command always shows a small snippet of links pointing back to a domain. If you need to see all the backlinks that google has counted towards your domain, setup a google webmaster account.
Google stopped showing all the links to a domain via the link: command two or three years ago. even if you set up a Google Webmaster account you are unlikely to see as many links as Yahoo will return via link:
The best thing I have found is to just see how many back links you have. In reality if that goes up you are doing something good.
link: shows only dofollow links that are already indexed (and does show only few as this tool doesn't work correctly).
WRONG! Currently, my Google Webmaster Tools account shows 1,805 External Links. Yahoo Site Explorer counts 6,500+ links, but only shows 1,000. Therefore, you are likely to see MORE links at GWT. However, Yahoo will COUNT more links. (But what good are they if you cannot see them?)
have submitted my site to google and added sitemap too but there is o inlinks in google . can an one help me how to index my site to google quickly
