Link Wheels: Why and How do I Build one?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by rosskellypt, Aug 19, 2011.

    Hi,

I'm fairly new to the concept of link wheels, and I just wanted to know:

    1. Are link wheels only effective for ranking for a particular search term? Are they also effective for PageRank or does this have little effect, in comparison to other PR factors?

    2. How to you build and map a link wheel? Do you start with tier 1 and track everything by using a diagram?

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Google likes linkwheels. It enables them to simply catch LOADS of people who think they are smarter than the 170+ IQ bods employed at the 'plex and believe they can manipulate the index for their own benefit. Probably second only to recippers, or perhaps cloakers.

Linkwheels are a noob method of trying to trick the serps. It does nothing in the long run but waste your time and damage the brand in question. I said that 3 years ago and still stick to it today.

Its is google's job to return the most relevant result for x query. Hence, if you want to rank well, make the site actually relevant. This is not accomplished by link wheels and blog commenting. That is not SEO by any professionals definition.

My position assumes that you actually care about said site.

    hope that helps,
    Nigel

That kind of method is only good to downgrade you, try to do things in the right manner.

    - Good site design
    - Relevant content
    - Keep it uncluttered of too many ads

so links to links that point to your site is bad? I thought it was just a more natural form of linkbuilding, check out this reply I got from an seo consultant:

"Look google dont consider link wheel as spam but it consider content
    farm as a spam...
If you create link wheel with 100 % unique content than it is not
considered as spam..but most of people use link wheel as content farm
with spun article, and this is 100 % wrong thing in seo

Generally what people are doing is they download article from ezine
than spun it and blast it with senuke linkwheel creation ..this is 100
% wrong thing and you will definitely caught by google

But what im doing is creating linkwheel 100 % unique content.
Im currently doing providing my services to one well known seo company
    from Canada.
Im currently providing them forum posting and linkwheel services.

They are quite satisfied with results and im getting more orders"

Link wheels are not 'natural', therefore Google sees them as an attempt to game the system, like link farms (which as you remember, were once 'accepted' and white hat). It's one of those dodgy areas like using a portal page. If it's not something that a person with no vested interest in your site would do, then don't do it. Simple.

Link wheel are very effective for ranking of search term in search engines because it create organic back links to our site and treated as one way back link by Google. Most important point is that it links through the keywords having same theme.
