Anyone idea if link wheel strategy is still effective this 2012 because we expected more changes this year.
I believe the changes will be restricted to the quality of the external backlinks. So, I would conclude a yes to your question.
No way to know for sure but I would say that it will still be effective. If not that a lot of people will be in trouble.
If you are linking together pieces of duplicate content, of course, that’ll take you against the Panda rules... There is nothing wrong with providing good and diverse content on a certain topic you are good at, and then linking them to other articles that you have written. What is WRONG will be if you do so but act in a spammy manner (doing crazy linking for no other purposes than to increase your links), creating wheels of spun and rephrased articles etc... So, the key is to make it as natural as possible.
it depends on the quality of your links within the link wheel, there is always room for high quality backlinks.
Not sure I still use theold link wheel strategy along with my farm of blogs for advertising my money site it seems to be effective still.
the linkwheels are as good as the person who creates it. That being said, it is still a powerful SEO method, which I like to combine with blog commenting and bulk backlinking.
I still use it and helped many of my clients with it. However, quality matter this day. Also, one should work on footprint. Everything should look natural. For those who prefer link pyramid, I suggest you not to use it on new site, especially sites don't already have good amount of backlinks. Another point is, you should give yous link wheel some type of SEO juice to make it more natural which ultimately help your linked page to rank better.
Well in my opinion link wheel work only if the content is very good. No scrap work.............. For link wheel i prefer SENUKE.....
Well! I personally prefer creating link wheel manually. It allow me add video link as well as help me to remove footprint. Removing footprint is very important after panda update. Else, you end with no link juice. Your site may rise but after few week it see a grave.
As always it depends on the content you place on the sites you are using for your linkwheel. As Google's main purpose for their changes is to provide relevant, quality content, any site continuing to meet that objective should contribute well to the needed link juice.
No way to know for sure but I would say that it will still be effective. you can always brainstorm and test new methods. you may get lucky and find the link idea of the year
In my opinion it will not get effected, since that's the way big companies, like big G, is making money from all traffic
