Hello I have a question about link value and time. here is the example: few weeks old site that has no big authority on google links to my site, of course the value of the link is not big. But after some time that site becomes an authority and it still links to me. question: that link on the fresh authority site will pass more points to me or it will remain the same as of date google found the site. I know link age counts etc. But if the site that links to me is growing and google trust it more and more so its passing more points to me by its growth or not ?
You know what really matters? Anchor text. I think the other factors you're describing are secondary.
Anchor text would be my targeting keywords, I think that if the site that links to me is getting more trust by google, the link on that site is getting more value so my rankings are going up too, or I'm wrong ?
I think the Google algo is always updating the information, so your site should benefit as the other site gains authority.
aka TrustRank! i think trust rank must be earned over time. in other words, an aged link is worth more than a young link
Your reasoning is sound. But from what I can see it doesn't always work that way. But all things being considered, the more "quality" the websites that link to you, the better.
You will get benefit of the authority site and once it's getting more trusted you will get more benefits and that link will become more valuable.
As IEmailer.com said, the answer is YES, when the link from that domain will become more valuable, your ranking will increase too. Try to get more valuable backlinks and you will see the benefits.
A lot depends on the quality of the page. A relevant page with few outbound links wll have more value.
