Link value having 1000 links!!

I see a page providing free backlinks and having a PR3 but its got more than 1000 total links on the page..

So, If I add my link to that page will it have any link value...like help in increasing my position in SERps...or something

First never do reciprocal linking with other sites.
Second, the free should be some warning signal.
You only want to have links to your page from sites who have some kind of relevancy to your website.
Example: if you have a health related website, you do not want a link from a forex trading site.
There is no relevancy and it will have a negative effect.

Therefore a thousand links for free are all over the board and will do more harm than good.

anything over 100 links is pretty much a link farm with no value. All the juice is gone.

 

I agree it has very little value.

You need to find sites with very little outgoing links, related to your website and with a decent PR to name a few.

 

It won't help you a great deal.

Plus if it is providing free backlinks, chances are that it would be linking to all and sundry- pills, viagra, gambling etc.

 

This is what is known as a link farm, and won't help you at all. Not to mention the PR3 divided by 1000 links is diluted to the point that its worthless.

 

I agree this is a classic link farm.

I suggest checking the sites that link to this site aswell as they may also be of poor quality, this again will reflect poorly on your website by having a link on that site.

 

actually, it is not a link farm.. and it has got PR3 I actually would comment on it the (blog)..and i will get a chance to get a baclin from the page..it already has around 500 comments with their links on it plus the websites own inboumd links!!....

so,at this stage will it help??

 

i think everyone already answered that it wouldn't help.... and a link farm won't have that name in their description "welcome to our link farm!" [ironic]

Dont go for such type of pages which is having 1000 links, it doesnt do good to your site anyway rather than it may harm

 

I highly doubt a single page with 1000 links is fully crawled. So placement would be an issue. And I don't bother trying to get links from those type of sites because while they may add a teeny bit of link juice, no one every clicks on those links. So what's the point?

Focus on strategies that actually get used.

What is the point in having THOUSANDS of links on pages no one ever uses? It makes very little difference to you search ranking. And if you are not on the first page for terms that are searched for it doesn't matter anyways.

So focus your efforts on real links.

 

Bad/irrelevant one-way links WILL NOT hurt your rankings. If that were the case, you could submit your competition to known link farms and theoretically lower their ranking. However, if you link TO known link farms via reciprocation, I imagine that might trigger some flags. But with those free one-way links - worst case scenario, you will have wasted your effort.

 

This link is no value to you, it won't hurt your site but it won't help it either. Use article marketing and blog commenting to gain backlinks

A link is a link. If it is purely one way then the worst case is that it won't give you any link juice.

 

well its totally useless to go for such silly methods. Why do you even read such adds which google hates. If you love google then love google's policy if you love google's policy google will love you. That's simple

 

Well, if all links are pointed to related sites, I don't think it would harm your site.
