Link URLs contain querystrings: Rewrite links to...

    I'm wondering what this means. I did a few searches and came up with nothing useful.

    I was using domaintools.com "seo text browser" and it says "Link URLs contain querystrings: Rewrite links to work without using querystrings."

    I don't get it what does this mean?

    Can someone explain this?

    Firstly I must declare that I have only very poor knowledge concerning dynamic programming languages but I guess these "?" "&" "=" symbols show those querystrings. As I see in the left menu at the given website already contains rewritten URLs, but the top menu don't.
