Link units

Hi all,


I am going to do some experiments with link units.

Maybe you have some tips for me how to use them in a correct way or just some other relevant experiences.

I prefer the vertical ones, i think they give a better CTR if blended with your site links.

 

This is really helpful, I have not investigated on whether horizontal or vertical link ads get better CTR.

Do you get better results than the normal AdSense ads?

 

If placed well they have higher CTR than text ads but the earnings are slightly on the lower side

 

i use horizontal,right under the logo.the ctr is as much or more then the text ads.

one thing that will affect the ctr is the new ad codes.
the new codes,when someone clicks on a link, the ads they see have the same background and link color instead of the white background and blue link of the old ad codes.
it may not look good if you use a black background on the ad code.
i use just the old ad code.

 

I am using a horizontal Link unit at the top of my site and it is generating the most clicks for me

 

Am using both, but i think horizontal is better

 

I tried changing from a horizontal leaderboard to the full-width link units, but my earnings dropped in half.

I suppose it depends a lot on the site. The standard ads were very well targeted, but the link units were too generic to be of much interest to my visitors, I think.

 

link units does not gives good performance for me. i also want to know some tips for them

By the way, how many link ads can be placed on one page?

 

link unit pays very low for me!!
