I have been using Link Units for some time on my websites and they generate a lot of clicks. But for one of my websites, I get the following type of ad: View Ads About [ ] I have never had this type of ad before. What is the reason for being served this type of ad?
Thats strange. I then added ad unit ads and they are serving ads. These ad unit ads are beneath the link unit ads. Any idea why the ad unit ads pick up the content while the link unit ads do not? The site is located at http://www.auto-insurance-resources.org/
It depends on the amount of ad inventory they have. There may be enough ads to fill out individual ad units, but not enough to fill out separate pages of links. You can try switching from displaying 5 links to 4 links to see if that helps.
You are probably right that adsense maintains two seperate inventories. I know that the ad units are from adwords ads, but where do the ad units come from?
The all come from AdWords. What I'm saying is that there may not be enough AdWords ads to show an ad links unit for that particular topic. Each link goes to a page with 10 ads on it. So there is a minimum quantity of ads that need to be had. Plus probably some other metrics that have to be met... no one knows exactly.
