My link unit CTR is extremely low and CPC is 5-10 cents while ad unit is much better. Though link unit is about 5-10% of total revenue, I am thinking it might be smarter to remove it as it may increase ad unit CPC/CPM? Am I right or wrong?
first I created all link units on my site, it is tought to get money from them i guess, changed to image and text ads..
I thought Google will pay more for link unit CPCs as it takes effort two clicks.. it looks not like the case...
i dont' like idea when i see link unit because it wil take to a different page. clicker will click back button and no money credited
dglas seems right, and that makes the site worse in visitor's eyes, right? At least for link ads, you get paid for that Also it seems link unit ads are not that relevant though Google does its best, the links look interesting
I was getting 1-2 US a day without link ads but I've decided to try out what impact linkads would have and it made my average cpc drop by 50%.
Wow, 50% drop by adding linkads, that is new finding, anyone have similar experince? My click is 3c on linkads while 15c on unit
