Link Title Percentage Question

    Hi there,

I understand that when creating one-way back links it is not a good idea to focus on just one keyword but I am wondering say if one were to submit their site to 1000 directories and web 2.0 sites what percentage can your main keyword be before you start using long tail keyword phrases?

Like if you had a site on Sprockets, out of a 1000 submissions how often should you submit just the one main keyword "sprokets" as a title?

    Thanks

There is no hard and fast rule. Just use variations and also include your business and site name as some of the anchors.

If you are going to be submitting to 1000 worthless directories though, it may not make any difference which anchors you use as most of the links you get won't be found by the search engines anyway! And if they are, will be of little value.

    Hope that helps.

Just keep mixing it up so that it looks natural, I would say around 75% for your main keyword and then the other 25% is a mixture of your other keywords.

    Works for me anyway...

This site will do a free submit to the top 20... www.submitexpress.com
They also have a tool to help you refine your keywords, and see what your site looks like when it is indexed. Good luck :)
