#39 Which of the following factors is considered when search engines assign value to links?

Correct Answer: The date/time the link was created and the temporal relationship between that link's appearance and other time-sensitive criteria

The only one of these that search engines would consider (and have mentioned in patent applications like this one) is the "temporal data".

    what is "temporal data"?

search engines will consider your backlinks as backlinks after some time has passed.

There is a "sandbox" rumor that all links are ignored by Google for ~ 6 months or two BL updates. There is also some talk that if the link is edited in anyway during this 6 months, it resets the clock.

If you read a subject called "Data Mining and Algorithms" which is there in the software engineering cirricullum, You will learn that, almost every real time applications are based on temporal data..

Weblogs, Online transactions financial and bankings, data coming from the sensors and tranducers in an appliance.. are all kinda temporal.

"temporal data is classified to either categorical event streams or numerical time series and both types have been intensively studied in data mining and statistics."

You get a clear picture of what Temporal Data Means when it comes to algorithms here:

Hope that helps big time ;)
