I found some pr 5 page that consist of up to 500 outbound link without any good content. It seem to got pr 5 by a good (above pr 5) page link to it.
my question: a pr 5 page without any unique and good content is legial, isn't it?
can it remain pr 5 for lifetime(in site lifetime)? anyway, what do you think of the thing? good ? bad? suggest it? will be banned by SE? etc....

it is legal. nothing states you need to have good content to get a high pr. (which is a big flaw in googles algorithm) but ive seen a pr7 with nothing useful at all.

technically its a tough question. its more of a problem for google, not the user. because what if the user who built the site didnt even want a PR at all? but google did its thing to give them a pr rank.
overall i dont think its good, mostly because i hate crappy sites cause i cant stand crappy content on the web.

    i believe:

    1. content is king
    2. quality over quantity
    3. focus on maximizing viewership, then the monetization will come after.

PR isn't a constant: it will change if the PR of the page(s) linking to it change, or if it gets less or more links.
PR isn't the only factor in ranking though. A page may well have PR 5, and hardly any visitors.

Check the site on http://www.archive.org/ It is common nowdays to buy an expired PR5 domain and sell the links on it. Toolbar-PR drops heavily after the next toolbar-PR update but the problem is that you realize that after 1,2 or 3 months.

I would suggest checking if the site changed it's content recently. And even if it is genuine and keeps it's PR just the fact that there are 500 links devalues your link. I wouldn't pay a penny for such a link. Even the original published PR formula says such a link doesn't have much value.

Also, buying a link on a PR5 site with 500 links won't buy you much. Google will look at that link as coming from a PR 3 (since greater outbound links on a site lower the sites PR passing abilities).
