So i am dumb for not checking 100% before buying an Ad from this website - the external links on the site appear to be a follow link, however from the cached version, it becomes a rel=nofollow So is it my responsibility to know that it is a nofollow link or the seller should have notify me that the ad that i am about to buy will be changed to a rel=nofollow. It has only been 15 days into this deal which i paid by paypal (for 1 yr deal), do i have a strong case for a dispute ?
Were you told the link would be follow? If not, you really don't have a case since sites do sell nofollow links for purposes of traffic. It's also a virtual transaction, you don't have a way to dispute it with paypal.
No i wasn't told the links will be follow, but there's no mention that it isn't going to be nofollow as well. The links that were present on the site were all follow, until it is cached then it becomes nofollow - using a script. oh btw, even the "want to advertise here" page, noted out the strong PR, which imho is implying a link sales for followed link? Anyway, going to email the webmaster and see if i can get a refund for the remainder 11 months, fingers crossed, just take the 1 month payment as a lesson learnt! btw, i do deal with link sales often (buying & selling) and it is the 1st time i got into this situation -- and the worst thing of all is that the link wasn't cheap! hah. as for the virtual goods, not able to dispute? hmm, i tot the benefit of doubt always go to the buyer? i been into this situation before (long time ago) and did remember that I had to refund the $. *not too sure about it anymore, but it was definitely for a link sales*
I think you may have something as the PR 'implies' a follow link. I would take it up with the webmaster first to see about a refund or a simple code change to take out the no follow. good luck!
Anyway, the matter is kind of resolved. But the problem is that the homepage is NOT cached at all .. no idea why the webmaster did that. But the internal pages are all cached with the link - followed , so I'm just letting it slide.

maybe the webmaster don't understand to what happen with that. it always happen if we buy the link form the site with using wordpress. Since last month, i'm never buy any link from wp site, just buy from joomla, drupal, mambo, asp net and manual php site
