Tough question without knowing the site. It depends on what you are after here. Are you after traffic from other sites or search engines? But whatever it is the best way to start is to just do a search on Google for sites that are similiar to yours. Then I would put their link up on your site first and then send them an email telling them that you linked to them and was wondering if you can get a link back. Few tips for asking for link exchanges... Pretend you are a giddy female. example email.. Now finding the email address is normally hard to do that will get the webmaster to read it. What I do is always look up the whois info for the domain and get the email address from there. A site to get that info is www.whois.sc if you didnt know. Just do that over and over. Its hard work but making websites for profit is. Hope that helps.
