I have one simple question: Does link position affect to how google will rank the link, for example do links on the base content part, for example text part of the article, give you more boost (I'm not meaning just pagerank but ranking for link keywords) than links on other pages of the page, for example footer or sidebar?
as i understand about your question. It is about your link structure correct me if im wrong. having a good link structure have credits on SE's but this is just only a part of many aspect to rank high on se's..
I'll try to be more specific (this is a very focused question) Is a link on text section (for example content of a blog post) more valuable than a link in for example sidebar or footer section of the site (where there usually is no content just maybe navigation, other links and so on)?
hmm... As far i know, It doesnt matter on where you are going to put your link. Whether it was inserted on your blog content as long as, it is relevant and not just keyword stuffing no problem. also if you will put it on the sidebar or in your footer to maximize the visibility of your link that would be fine.
I thought Page Rank increased from high ranking pages linking to you, but search engine position increase was related to similar content as well as linking pages position in accord to targeted search keyword phrase...
My understanding is that links in headers, or near the top of the page, are given more weight than those in the body or the rest of the page. For example, if I type: worst halloween 2006 worst costume 2006 or worst halloween costume 2006 into Google, Say No To Crack (my humor website) comes up as #1, even though the site has only been up for a month and has no PR. This is almost certainly because all those words show up in the link, it's near the top of the page, and it's a Header tag type. The same is true when I type keywords from other Headers on my site that show near the top of their respective pages. However, if I type in link text from somewhere else on my site, even if I put it in quotes, my site does not show up anywhere near the first page of Google. Hope this helps
it's not related where your link is inside the page. there is no difference between top part or bottom part.
Something which is more important than the actual place of the links is the number of them on any page, so having only a few links per page and being among them is better than being at the top but among 100 links.
