May I know the backlinks shown by google is live value? Heard that google PR value only updated after 2 - 3 months although the real PR value will keep track in their database. Is that the same for amount of backlinks shown by typing link:www.yourdomain.com in google? Another question is. I have seen 1 website http://www.zu.com.my with PR4. But it seems no backlinks at all when i tried to search it with link:www.zu.com.my in google. Any ideas?
True. Backlinks, Pages crawled, and Pagerank all are periodically updated extern, but SERPS are updated daily, so the expectation is that internally all 3 are updated daily. With PR4 it has a backlink, but Google does not show all. Perhaps its intern pagerank? Does a page of your own site links to it? Then it giving Pagerank to it. Another solution could be that Google does not show it (backlinks and PR were updated at the same time last time, so its not just that PR is earlier updated). Google is very selective in showing backlinks. Try Yahoo or MSN to find out what the real backlink is.
