Link popularity in Yahoo

Hello all,

I have been checking back links and indexed pages in Yahoo since few months. I observed that it is showing one day big number and other day small number. again it will come to the same. I am not getting why only Yahoo is showing like.

Please give me your suggestions.

 

Yahoo also confuse me a lot by showing different numbers of backlinks in different scenario, one on different day it shows different link for the same site.. also when I was checking one sites backlinks, yahoo was showing different numbers of backlink with www and without www.........

I always consider or work on the bigger number of backlinks which yahoo show....

But fail to understand yahoo baklinks changing funda........

I too is waiting the right answer of this question.......

 

Same problem i have been observed. I don't know why coz i was surprised after doing link building with websites.

 

Since Yahoo does count all links even with nofollow. They do sometime evaluate the link. The up-down in number does mean Yahoo re-evaluate the links and see if they can filter out some garbage links. Wait and see

 

i know they filter and see nofollow links, though u may consider a bigger engine though~

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it may evaluate the links. But why some of them are showing again even our link is not there on the page mentioned.

Is it possible to register on the Yahoo directory to get a backlink ?

 

Yahoo+BING merger probably the root cause of this

 

use backlinkwatch to see ur incoming link

 

may be there was any fluctuation occurring in the yahoo algorithm.

thats true...links are filtered ..the same happens with Google back links too..they keep on altering
only 'strong' back links remain after filtering

I am also facing this problem for one or two months. Actually yahoo shows some nofollow links too.
Thats why there may you see some changes in showing backlinks.

 

I also faced the same problem in yahoo for my site.Link popularity is always conflict that i become so confused for this.

 

backlinkwatch is not working most of the time now, haven't you noticed?

I think you will have to take an average count of the number of links yahoo shows for a period of one week. Since yahoo counts all the links, they might be filtering it the next day, so you get a less count and again the alternate day same count.

 

as people said use site yahoo explorer or create account in webmaster tool you will get all the things you will need just like google webmaster tool
