Hiya guys Is there any point getting links from other site's link pages?- even if they have a decent PR ranking, Im thinking I'd be better spending the time and money on getting decent do follow blog comments or getting one decent in content link from a quality site? Any thoughts most appreciated, trying to find a recipe in this mad seo work
you can go for both comments and links because both of these are useful to get high pr and high rankings..............
Link pages hold no SEO value once they've crossed a certain number of links. Initially provided that they be niche-specific they may help but as the number of outbound links grow with less content and more links, its considered as a link farm and passes absolutely no link juice. If you happen to be stupid enough to place a reciprocal link on your site, you are very likely to get penalised.
Agreed. Stay away from stuff like that. If you need quality links - write a few articles and place them on EZA. Not only you get a quality backlink - you'll get referral traffic from there as well.
I agree with this guy. Do what he said. Getting your link next to 2000 others won't get you the juice you're after. Write articles! That's what's been working best for me.
It all depends on the number of links on the links page. Now-a-days some clever people have a resource link directory on the site and ask everyone to link their home page in return all you get is a link from a link farm which has hardly incoming link to that page.
In our industry (escorts) there are perhaps fifty sites that have gotten themselves up to a PR5 using *only* link exchanges. But they've done it by swapping links with a very, very narrow range of sites that are *only* in our industry. In our experience, the moment (well about 3 days) after you start adding non-targeted links, like spammy web directories, to the mix, Google immediately devalues the page. So if you're exchanging reciprocal links, make sure they're with highly relevant sites. ^F^
