Hi, as the title says does this really help? since google coming hard on paid links any link/any out going link in a site is looked suspiciously except for those which are in content, by giving rel=me in the anchor tag you think this will let google convince that this site is owned by me? not a sponsor?

I haven't yet found any document saying google suggests such a tag. As long us they dont do officially or unofficially (matt cutt's blog) there is no point in believing that.

Even otherwise, it looks silly. What if you put rel = me on sponsor links? How doe google know if the site owner is lying or not?

Simply if you want to avoid risk, use rel = nofollow. ofcourse the PR will not be transfered.

That means we can't link our own site, can we? when Google and big players are allowed to link their own websites why not small webmaster's like us, this really really shows the effect of globalization :-D

I'd rather use the Rel=PR10 attribute, works wonders on the green bar. :D
