If I get an article with a link to my website on the front page of a pr 9 site for 24 hrs and then it moves off the front page does this benefit me in any way ?
PR I'd say not at all inless google just happens to be scanning that page at that very min.. . Traffic depends if your site has to do with the PR9 sites content I'd think... If the PR9 sites about pets stores and your sites about childern's cleft lips then I'd have to say it would not get much traffic either!
if you're talking about michael goldberg's netscape.com home page link, don't hesitate. I got thousands of hits in that 24 hrs.
There are more important things then PR, but the ranking of a page can play an important roll in figuring out a few other things. For instance, if you are getting an article on the front page of a PR9 site chances are a lot of people will be reading the article. Those that like the article may visit your site. They also may link to your article (from other decent sites/blogs). Though, unless it's up on the day that Google happens to be by to do their update it will likely do NOTHING for your own sites PR directly...though may have some indirect PR perks if others are re-linking to it. It will result in both direct and indirect traffic, which should be the actual goal anyway. Q
but within 24 hrs wud it make a serous difference? PR updates are usualyl quarterly..thats what i have heard..so i dont think it would rite? as chritopher said..under the very rare chance..that the PR update is on the same day as ure link on the PR9 site.. and then even after its moved..u might retain it..i think maybe..not sure htough..
it will help you as a pr 9 page for 24 hours and after they move your article to a subpages, its effect will decrease
Its totally pointless besides the visitors you will recieve and them possibly linking to you from their own site.
