Heres a tip........I have nofollow links from 4 pages in Wikipedia but nonetheless they have a PR of: PR7, PR6, 2 x PR5 all from Wikipedia ..... These bring a lots of traffic
There is still a benefits on linking on a high PR no-follow site; even you wouldn't gin backlinks from it; you'll might have CHANCE (i mean, high possibility) to get traffics from it.
I am not totally convinced by the nofollow ruling. I can agree that you will not get display on the search engine from that link but I have experience that a site has ranked higher because of it. Really! i would like someone to prove me wrong, however I guess I should publish my findings also; but my partner would not approve of that. i sounds far fetched but hey I said it
