    Hello,

I am wondering about an issue regarding backlinks on Google. I have got a backlink to my website on

    http://www.linkbook.org/Directories/Free-Directories/ (this is a PR6 page)

That was about 2 months ago. So far, i see that my link show on yahoo as backlink but it never showed on google search site or at google webmaster tools.

Does it usually take this time to show up as a backlink?

I know that google update their backlinks about every 3 months, but what makes me wonder ths time is that my link on that page did not even show in the regular google search (like when i input just my URL in the Google search bar; without the link:).

I have got several links before and ll showed within few days in the google results but not for the page above.

I have also checked for other websites that had a link on that PR6 page... none of them has that link as a backlink and their links were on that site for more than 6 months.

Am I missing anything? and is there a way to speed up the process?

I was planning to get a link to my other site on that page... so do you think it is worth it in terms of back links and PR value?

    Thanks

that site looks more like an index than a directory, I'd recommend viral marketing techniques, i.e. submitting articles to ezinearticles and putting your link in the resource box, that'll give you a pr6 free of charge for one and also, your backlink would be situated on a relevant page, rather than what you have on that directory, with every cat. given a disignated letter rather than a real meaning title

Why don't you try to contact the webmaster/moderator of that
directory site and ask all your questions. Or possibly the site
    removed your link.
