    Hi there

I have heard a few people mention the term 'matured' when talking about links... can anyone explain this to me?

I am guessing it's a situation whereby a link gets older, and therefore becomes more valuable? Not 100% sure though...

Many people believe that value of links increases with age. Nowadays emphasis is on 'new' content and information, so I am not sure how accurate that belief is.

I can regulary see an SERP improvement after 3 and 6 month (in 2 steps).

It's hard to spot as you usually build links all the time and the only way to see the effect is not doing anything (in SEO terms) during this period.

I too think mature links maybe links which are older and have been at same page since long
    Not sure though.

Looking forward to some good explanation from other fellow DP members :)

I think a old backlink will be a good one if the page the link is on continue to grow its popularity

I too think mature links are the older links and on the same page for a longer period of time.
