link management in wp

I've gone through the thread here where everyone lists their favorite WP plugins and I do not see one for link mgt. I have also tried a bunch that do not work properly so I am wondering what everyone else is using for link management.

Right now, when someone wants a recip, they have to fill in my form and email me, then I add the link via html to a page.

I would like to automate it and since the sites are in WP, a plugin would be perfect.

    Any ideas?

    thx

But wouldn't it be better if you saw the site before deciding whether or not to exchange links or not ?

If the plugin automated it for you, and then you saw that the site was spammy, you'd have to go through the trouble of telling them that the site wasn't good enough. A part of link exchange will always remain manual- and that will be your approval.

The WP Backlinks plugin works pretty well. It puts a links drop-down form on your sidebar below the links being displayed. Users add their link, anchor text, and the page that the reciprocal is on. The plug-in checks whether the reciprocal link is there for you and shows you the page rank as well. You can check all of this in your admin panel before approving/denying the links.

    Works pretty well.
Here's the developer blog link: all the info you need should be there... ;)

Oh yes, you are right. I only want to accept sites pertinent to my niche and that really help my users.

I took a look at the link you provided and that is one of the ones I tried. I didn't like the way it made my sidebar really junky with the form.

But if you say it works well, I can easily modify it to load somewhere other than my sidebar.

thx very much both of you for your tips.
