Most people link to a new blog post on their FB business page. I recently read that posting a picture, then adding the link to content in the comments section of a post allows more people to see your post. Anyone find this to be true?
This is a new idea to me, so I don't really know. But if you post an image, then wait a period of time before making the comment with your link, then it effectively causes it to be seen in people's news stream twice (as far as I know). The problem with that is that the initial step of just posting an image alone with not get you any traffic.
Yes it is! Anything that is visual, like images, videos or infographics are more likely to catch people's attention. Why? Because it is enticing and much more easier to remember than just plain texts.
I agree that images are an eye catcher and I've been trying to incorporate them more often. As they say, "A picture is worth 1,000 words"
I wasn't confused about the image part. I know posting images and videos are a huge draw. The question was when is it best to post the link. Is it better to post the link in the original post along with the photo or in the comments. Some say that posting the link in the comments allows more people to see the post.
yes. as my experience image reach is high when comparing link reach. but, many people never click link with image. you can use large OG:Image that work as image and link also.
I don't think that technique would impact FB's News Feed algorithm. It prefers original content and the action a post gets in the form of likes/comments.
