link in <noscript> tag counts?

    Will a link in <noscript> tag counts? I see the code like this

    <SCRIPT type="text/javascript">
    ......
    ......
    ......
    </SCRIPT>
    <NOSCRIPT>
    <P>To get the service for free, <A href="http://www.domain.com/a.html">click here.</A>
    </NOSCRIPT>

    My question is

    1. Will the backlink count for http://www.domain.com/a.html here <A href="http://www.domain.com/a.html">click here</A>?
    2. Will it pass PR to http://www.domain.com/a.html ? what will be the effect?

    Hey there,

    It has been said that crawlers examine website like a text reader would kind of like Lynx.

    Do not expect the crawler to interpret your javaScript.

    I would count this link if I were you. It is not worth hiding anything in a noscript tag that is for sure.

    I don't think google falls for it, but I'm pretty sure other sites count it..
