Link from subpage on PR7 site

    Hi,

I have found out that I can get a dofollow link on a PR7 site. The link will be placed on a new subpage that is created especially for my user details - and my link :)

Problem is I can't find out if it's worth spending the time necessary to get the link. On one hand it's a link from a PR7 site - on the other hand it's a link from a new page without any PR.

What do you think? Will it give me a major benefit to spend time to get the link?

    Thanks, Mads

You should make the link for sure. Will you mind to share url of that PR7 site?

Because a new page (or old page) has no PR does not mean it does not carry and link weight. I think it is definately worth your time particularly if the link in on topic

If the site is relevant to yours.. sure go ahaead and get it.. Anyway.. even DP is PR 7 and all the sigg links are going ou from here :)

A forum with thousands of links going out will give you no much value

How much time has it taken you to post your question, I would take the link and move on.

Take a link and then continue link building.

I was also considering it as a strategy for future link building (i.e. find similar potential links from other sites). Which one of the following would you select if you had the choice:
    a) a link on an existing pr1-pr2 page on a pr1-pr3 site
    b) a link on a new/pr0 page on a pr6-8 site

Link from PR7 site is never a waste of time. Anyway, a link on a user detail page can't be taking up a lot of time right? You never know, the main page may pass some PR juice to its internal pages in the future and then you will have a page with PR linking back to your site.

Eventually the pr of the subpage will go up if its linked to the homepage so you will eventually benefit from it

how is the traffic, if traffic is good, you can make back from your adsense, right? I myself even comment on no follow blog, just get some traffic. But again, I am new to this business.
