I've seen tons of pixels sites around and many of them has PR4+, many are listed @ thepixelwars.com So, I want to know if search engines value links from these types of websites?
well, even i don't know, but i saw many seo competitor's using that for back links... so may be some benefits, but people believe that thier sites got much traffic from like that
they are about as useful as a nofollow link on a PR0 directory. Even with a PR4, imagine how much of the PR is being diluted with all of those outbounds. The pixel site is only beneficial if it delivers traffic...and I still can't imagine how that happens. Do people really search through little pixel ads to find sites of interest?
Yeah I also think it's mostly for traffic and for this also the pixel website need to be popular and as rzvagelsky I don't think people will search pixels. Pixel sites are a bit useless then?
Yes pixel sites are useless. Some people mention traffic but how do you get targetted traffic from a pixel site when your link is surrounded by cialis and viagra icons?
The first pixel website made was _FAMOUS_ but the others are just copy. And they buy links to get a good pr.
pixel sites look like link farms. it will be good , if google does not count link from pixel sites . but google counts links from pixel sites
my opinion is there is no point advertising on pixel sites as they will have very little value, in ragards to traffic. youd be lucky to get a hit a day,(thats on a good day)
I had 4 spots on the million dollar homepage and my PR went up quite a bit from it. It all depends if they are using static links or not. If they are redirecting to record clickthroughs, then you won't get any PR passed through.
