Would you say these are a bit like link farms? http://get-appliances.com/ http://realappliances.com/ http://applaincestech.com/ http://clubappliances.com http://appliancesteam.com/ They have been purchased by a SEO company just to do link building - they have hundreds of sites the same... would this have a negative effect on a site if it was placed on all of these websites? I think so myself.
I don't think being associated with a "link farm" in anyway is going to help your site. I'd stay clear of them.

A lot of those listings are not even relevant to the site. Should be about appliances, but I got listings for pregnancy. Definitely not to be associated with.
I checked 3 of the above sites and they have PR0 and 0 page indexed in Google, which means they are most probably banned on Google. Tharani
My dear Friend When you sites get banned by this link farm then don't be surprise its what you have done. First thing is that you have done wrong is directly given outbound links on the homepage what you great work. All your link juice will directly pass to those link so what will be in your hand ? nothing Secondly you have done reciprocal link with not only relevant but non-relevant so here also you get penaltly from goolgle. Finally if you do reciprocal then do with relevant and not on home page but deep pages. Also i always oppose reciprocal link building because why should i give my hard earn PR to someone else though it is a relevant site. Cool Mate and Enjoy your day
